Damien O’Reilly holds a Bachelor of Forest Science degree from the University of Melbourne, and over 25 years of forest management experience, primarily in log sales and developing and managing supply chains, managing large-scale timber production operations and ensuring compliance with Forest Practices Codes and environmental management accreditation requirements.

He has worked extensively with forest agencies, growers and the timber processing industry across Australia. Most recently, Damien has consulted to the government and industry in relation to improving efficiency and developing decision support frameworks that compare operating models balancing cost, safety, sustainability and the equitable treatment of stakeholders.

Damien’s background in forest operations has provided a strong capacity to balance strategic imperatives with practical outcomes.
