Indufor carried out a plywood feasibility study for a plywood producer, including a market study in Western Africa.
The main objective of the assignment was to assist the Client in entering the plywood business with the feasible business concept, technology and investments.
The assignment also included an evaluation of market opportunities for eucalyptus plywood, eucalyptus core/tropical hardwood-faced plywood in the domestic and international markets, the assessment of the technical feasibility based on suitability of raw material supply and the available plywood mill designs, a cost-competitiveness analysis against relevant industry benchmarks. The feasibility study was concluded with the evaluation of the financial feasibility and development of strategic recommendations for the selected plywood manufacturing concept.
