Rocio Sanz Cortes
Rocio Sanz Cortes is an agriculture and forestry specialist. Her work focuses on nature based solutions and climate-smart natural resource management. Other areas of expertise include climate finance, carbon accounting and results monitoring and evaluation. She has over 15 years of work experience advising organizations such as FAO, UN-REDD, UNDP and GCF. She is currently working for the Climate Investment Funds at the World Bank and for Emergent Climate, a forest-focused finance accelerator.
She holds a Masters of Environmental Management from the Yale School of Forestry and Environmental Studies, and a Bachelor's degree on Agricultural Engineering from the Polytechnic University of Valencia. She is fluent in English, Spanish and French and also speaks Portuguese and German.
