Mr Todorov holds a Master of Science degree in Technology from Aalto University, Finland (2018) in "Advanced Energy Solutions", major in "Sustainable Energy in Buildings and Built Environment". He also holds MSc in Architecture from the University of Architecture, Civil Engineering and Geodesy of Sofia, Bulgaria (1996) and the official recognition of the title of Architect by the Technical Office for European Union Qualifications, Ministry of Science and Innovation of Spain (2009). Currently, he is a Doctoral Candidate and Project Researcher at Aalto University in the Smart Otaniemi Project on underground thermal energy storage (UTES) system application in buildings and networks.
He has over 20 years of experience in engineering, construction, and architecture as Project Manager. His specialties cover engineering, construction, architecture and optimal integration of HVAC (heat, ventilation and air conditioning), MEP (mechanical, electrical and plumbing), energy efficiency, passive strategy design and low energy consumption in buildings and networks and aquifer thermal energy storage (ATES) system application for district heating and cooling, as well as groundwater modeling. He is fluent in Spanish, English and Bulgarian with working proficiency also in Russian.
