Jyrki Salmi, Senior Partner, holds a master’s degree in forest economics (M.Sc. For.) from the University of Helsinki (1985), and Special Qualifications in Management from the South Carelia Polytechnic & Helsinki School of Economics (2005).
He has almost 30 years of experience in providing advisory services on forest policy, strategic planning, institutional development, natural resource economics, forest sector and other green financing, sustainable forest and rural development, sector programs and climate-smart business opportunities. He has been team leader and project manager in several projects, including complex strategic studies, sector reviews, national forest programs and other strategy processes as well as supporting international forest-related processes. He has participated in the conceptual development and implementation of modern forestry planning approaches.
He is fluent in Finnish, English and Spanish.
