Mr Siintola holds a master’s degree in Forest Sciences from the University of Helsinki (2012). His major subject during his master’s studies was Business Economics of Forestry and his bachelor’s degree was in Forest Economics and Marketing. In addition, he has studied natural resources management and ecological engineering in the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences Vienna in Austria and been trained in programme evaluation in Stellenbosch University in South Africa. His expertise includes natural capital valuation, cost-benefit analysis, market research, financial analysis, forest asset valuation, project cycle management, rural development, and project monitoring and evaluation. He has experience in development cooperation in forestry and in-depth knowledge of East African forest sector including plantation and industrial development. He is fluent in Finnish and English.
