Mr Luoma holds a master’s degree in forest ecology and management from the University of Helsinki (2018), with focus on tropical resources. Additionally, he has completed minor studies in business economics of forestry, and studies in economics and administration in UNAM, Mexico. His key knowledge areas include forest plantations, ecosystem services, natural capital assessment, multipurpose use of forests, natural resources data processing and analysis. He has experience working in both public and private sector, and field experience from working in Ghana, Laos and Uruguay. He is fluent in Finnish and English, competent in Spanish, and has basic skills in Portuguese and Swedish.
