Mark von Veh
Mark von Veh brings wide-ranging expertise in the application of GIS and remote sensing technologies in resource management to the team. He has 20 years’ of experience in the operational use of satellite imagery and LiDAR for forest assessments and resource monitoring. He has been involved in many large-scale resource monitoring projects in South America, Asia and Oceania for REDD+, national reporting and research purposes. His experience includes resource information system development, map accuracy assessments, site suitability analyses, GIS capacity building and training. He holds a PhD in Earth Sciences from the University of Cape Town (1987) and a BSc from Rhodes University South Africa (1976).
