Indufor to Review DFID’s Forest Governance and Trade Programme

Indufor will carry out the review of the UK Government, Department for International Development (DFID), Forest Governance and Trade Programme.

The programme aims at promoting governance reforms in the European Union FLEGT partner countries, stimulating innovative and effective business practices that favour products from legal sources and promote sound management of forests, and facilitating exchange of knowledge and experiences on tools and systems to tackle illegal logging and associated trade with Japan, China, US and other major importers of forest products. The assignment will focus on i) assessing the outputs and results during fiscal year 2010-2011 and ii) producing a strategic paper compiling the lessons learned to date.
