Indufor has signed a contract with the Ministry of Water & Environment, Uganda, for the Development of Benefit Sharing Arrangements for Uganda’s National REDD+ Strategy. The project has started and will go on until July 2016. Indufor is working together with Governance Systems International (GSI), Uganda, on this assignment.
The project is part of Uganda’s preparation for the REDD+, and it covers participatory analysis of the current benefit-sharing elements and an analysis of the enabling actions still required to establish a practical and implementable options for REDD+ benefit sharing. Broad stakeholder consultations will be carried out to inform the development of. Key methodology to be applied is the Options Assessment Framework developed for the Proforest.
